Dr. James S.J. Schwartz teaches philosophy and the ethics of space exploration at Wichita State University. He is a leading, internationally recognized researcher of the philosophy and ethics of space exploration. He is author of The Value of Science in Space Exploration (Oxford University Press, 2020) and editor of The Ethics of Space Exploration (Springer, 2016). He has published widely on space topics, with papers appearing in numerous scientific, philosophical, and interdisciplinary journals, and he has also contributed invited chapters to a number of edited collections on the ethics of space exploration and space policy.
