Michael Fitzgerald

Exec VP, Co-Founder and Space Elevator Chief Architect

Michael (“Fitzer”) served in the USAF from the 1968 until 1990. After graduation from the USAF Academy and serving in Vietnam (1969); he returned to Los Angeles; joining the USAF space effort. For 20 years in the USAF, & 30 years since, Fitzer has worked on major space development projects. He wrote or co-wrote: “Space Elevator Architecture and Roadmaps”; “Design Considerations for Space Elevator Apex Anchor and GEO Node”; and “Road to the Space Elevator Era”; published by the IAA. Recently, he co-authored “Today’s Space Elevator”; and is working on publishing his 30 Architecture Notes about the Galactic Harbour.
